The Apr?s Toi gladiolus attracts attention with its beautiful pink flowers. This large ornamental plant that plants in high summer belongs to the most beautiful species you can grow in your garden. The erect and slender shape of the plants predestines them to be grown in belts that surround a gazebo, terrace, and run along paths and driveways. Majestic stems look great at the background of fences and walls. Gladioli, sometimes though very seldom called sword lilies, offer great company to dahlias, roses, Peruvian lilies, sunflowers, and the tall Japanese anemones. One of the main reasons for growing gladioli are cut flowers. A bouquet consisting of tall gladioli constitutes an elegant decoration of a home, office, or restaurant.

Plant them at sunny spots that are also sheltered from wind. Places with southern exposure, alongside fences and building walls works best. We recommend planting bulbs every two weeks, in batches, starting mid-April to mid-May. This method allows to extend the flowering period and adorn your garden with gladioli for a much longer time then in case of one-time planting. Gladioli prefer soils that are rich in nutrients, fertilized, and permeable. Plant bulbs eight to ten centimetres deep, 15 to 20 centimetres apart. Water gladioli regularly during the phase of intensive growth.

Gladioli cannot winter in the ground - bulbs should be dug out right after the end of the flowering period. Let the bulbs dry a bit, remove green plant rests. Store gladioli bulbs prepared that way in an airy place secured from frost.

One package contains 5 gladioli corms sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant growing guidelines were printed on the package label.
