The Bronze Form cloth-of-gold crocus (Crocus angustifolius) is truly unique variety. Flowers that develop from tiny corms present a beautiful colour contrast. Their golden petals have glossy red-brown mottling and streaks on the outer side. This unique feature gives the variety a surprising look. For many, the beautiful, funnel-shaped crocus flowers constitute the ultimate confirmation that spring has finally come the garden. Generously flowering clusters of low-growing crocuses prove to be an excellent decoration of a flower bed, rock garden, or path edging. These plants perfectly fit into planters. Cloth-of-gold crocus, an easy-to-grow, reliably blooming, and quickly developing species deserves a place in every garden.

Crocuses should be planted in a fertile, well-drained soil that warms up quickly. In addition to that, to make crocus plants feel well, the soil should be moderately moist and have a slightly acidic reaction. Crocuses flower profusely at sunny places. If you lack such an area, simply plant them in partial shade, where they will also thrive. The optimal time to plant crocus corms is September and October. They need about six weeks to take root, so make sure to plant them early enough before the winter. Similarly to other crocuses, plant it six to ten centimetres deep and eight to ten centimetres apart. Abundant watering of the site immediately after planting plays a crucial role in the development of this plant. Crocuses are hardy plants and you can leave them in the garden for the winter. They will spread and flower more exuberantly in every season.
