The 'Rip Van Winkle' scented daffodil (Narcissus "Rip Van Winkle") delights with its unusual, double flowers that consist of lanceolate, pointed, lemon yellow petals of various sizes. The flowers of this beautiful plant appear in April in May. They tower like cheerful suns over the tufts of bright green ligulate and narrow leaves. The 'Rip Van Winkle' daffodil perfectly complements natural gardens where it can grow among the trees or lower bushes. It can be grown in the foreground or in containers, because it does not belong to tall varieties - it measures up to 30 centimetres with the flower.
Daffodil bulbs should be planted in autumn into any given garden soil, provided it is not heavy or waterlogging. Put them 10 to 12 centimetres deep, 12 x 12 centimetres apart. Please remember that plants require full access to sunlight for at least several hours per day and constantly moist soil. The bulbs can winter in the ground, covered with dried leaves or conifer twigs.
One package contains 50 bulbs sized 10/12 cm in diameter. The bulbs offered here in our store were bred in Holland.
