Pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) is a charming perennial plant that is covered with a characteristic, soft hairs. Pasque flower plants grow as tufts of the green, feathery leaves, in between which a large flower emerges. Blue or purple petals contrast nicely with the yellow centre of the flower. They transform into soft, fluffy as pom-poms stamen anthers that also show high ornamental value. These plants grow no taller than 20 cm. This plant species blooms already in early spring. Pasque flowers are often planted in rock gardens, on walls, lower borders and in containers.
Pasque flowers are planted in spring or autumn into a permeable soil. They grow best in full sun, so they need to grow on spots, where they would not be shaded by taller plants. They like gravel soils with a neutral or basic reaction. This species is fully frost-resistant.
One package contains 1 seedling of the blue-flowered pasque flower. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
