Red-flowered pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) enjoys great popularity in home gardens. The plants grow circa 20 cm tall and develop green tufts consisting of feathery leaves in spring. The whole plant is covered with soft, silvery hairs. Bell-shaped flowers that appear already early in spring consist of deeply red petals and a bright yellow centre. After the blooms have wilted, they are substituted by the decorative, fluffy seed-heads. Pasque flowers fit onto lower borders, edgings, into rock gardens and onto walls.

Pasque flowers are easy and undemanding in cultivation. They would grow as long as you provide them with a permeable soil. Plant them in spring or autumn on a sunny site, where other plants would not have a chance to cast shadow over your garden minnows. Moderately moist and not too fertile soils with good drainage layer would suit pasque flowers best. This plant is totally frost resistant, although we advise to cover it in the first year before the winter.

One package contains 1 seedling of the red-flowered pasque flower. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
