The "Pink Giant" tiger lily is a tall - up to 130 centimetres - majestic bulbous perennial. The light pink flowers adorned with dark dots quickly attract attention. This flowering giant constitutes a wonderful decoration of summer flower beds. It looks great planted alongside walls and fences. "Pink Giant" will also thrive next to wooden pergolas and gazebos. This plant will also enchant you in large planters on a balcony or terrace. Developing inflorescences can be cut and put into vases - they look amazing and are resistant.

Tiger lilies are easy to grow and ensure dazzling visual effects, as they bloom long and reliably. Tiger lily develops an erect, straight, single stem that is covered with lanceolate leaves. The entire, shiny leaf blades give the plant a truly noble look. Five to twenty flowers grow atop each stem. The six-petal flower cups take on a vivid colour and a characteristic shape. Petals that bend backwards are adorned with distinct, dark spots that resemble colours of a tiger.

Tiger lily bulbs should be planted ten to fifteen centimetres deep and twenty-five to thirty centimetres apart. Autumn is the best time for planting, but you can also enrich your garden with those beauties in spring too. Lilies require a permeable soil. Heavy and clay soils should be avoided, because bulbs could rot in them. To achieve the best possible results, use a permeable, moderately moist soil with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction. We strongly recommend to protect lilies from strong winds, as their stems and flowers can be easily damaged. Tiger lilies, similar to their relatives of the genus Lilium, prefer sunny sites, but partial shade won't do them any harm. This species is not prone to diseases and only seldom attacked by pests. It stands out with high winter hardiness and can therefore grow on the same site for several years. Tiger lilies do not require much care. Organic fertilization, watering during drought periods, mulching, weeding, and removing wilted flowers constitute the most important maintenance activities.
