The Flair tulip is a fiery flower that develops large single cups. The compact and stiff plants broadly spread their orange-yellow petals on sunny days. The black base of the flower that contrasts with the yellow anthers and stamen comes a surprise. The Flair tulip brings a distinct colour not to the garden at the exactly right time. Presented variety belongs to the early single tulips. Its bright colour emerge in spring, sometimes mid-March already. The relatively low, 35 to 40 centimetres tall, Flair tulips can be use in many ways. They look wonderful on lower borders, in pots, planted in rock gardens, on path edges, and in smaller groups on lawns. The low growing Flair variety that develops large vividly coloured flowers is simply unmatched in bouquets and other cut flower compositions.

Grow tulips on sunny or partially shady situations. You will achieve the best results by planting them in humous, permeable soil that has a neutral reaction. This species should not be planted in waterlogging, clay, or heavy soil. Bulbs could quickly rot in such conditions. Tulip bulbs should be planted 10 to 15 centimetres apart. Planting depth should equal triple the height of the bulb. Water the site after planting. Tulips should be grown is groups of several, up to dozen plants. You do not have to dig out tulip bulbs every year as they are resistant to frost. After the flowers have wilted, remove the stem with the flower rests, preventing the plant from developing seeds. You can excavate, clean, and store bulbs until the next planting in autumn after the leaves have yellowed and dried. Repeat that treatment every three to four years to maintain the flowering power, divide the bulbs and transplant them to a new site.
