Wavyleaf Sea-Lavender, also known as Statice, is an annual plant that grows 60 to 70 centimetres in height. It features very decorative shiny purple flowers which, densely packed, make beautiful clusters. Wavyleaf Sea-Lavender is used in many ways, the most common of which is using it as a cut flower in dried or fresh flower arrangements. Also, it is suitable for flower beds.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover from March to April. The seeds germinate in 21 to 30 days at 16-20°C. Plant out into a permanent position in 20-30cm spacings. The plants require permeable calcareous soils in sunny positions. This variety is in flower from July to October.
