Carrot Seeds
Order carrot seeds still today to enjoy tasty crops from spring until autumn. We have many different varieties in stock that differ in root type, vegetation period and intended use.
If you care for an early harvest, choose seeds of one of the following varieties: „Kamila F1”, „First Harvest” or „Amsterdam”. Roots of those carrots with short vegetation period would be ready for harvest at the beginning of June already. The late „Koral” belongs to best storable varieties. You should also try out seeds of the „Baby”-type carrots that develop small, sweet roots. Roots of the „Pariser Markt 4” variety take on similarly interesting shape – they are small, short and round ind cross-section. The aformentioned varieties are particularly recommended for children due to their attractive root shape and because they do not accumulate harmful nitrates. „Major”, a sweet and valuable carrot, would be best for juices and preserves for the little ones. We encourage all those who care for ecology to order certified organic seeds of the „Nantes”-type carrots, that have been produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemical control agents. You might also take interest in the medium-late „Deep Purple” variety that develops purple, pleasantly tasting roots. They will fit into many dishes and add additional visual value to them. You might know, that initially purple carrots have been grown and the orange ones have been introduced much later. You will find carrot seeds with addition of radish seeds in our store. The latter vegetable allows to mark the rows precisely. This seed tape makes the sow much easier to even least experienced gardeners.
