Denar belongs to the earliest potato varieties. You can grow it in a greenhouse and then in the field. This variety is distinguished by a pleasant taste and good storability. Tubers of this variety grow large and are round-oval. They are covered with a smooth peel with shallow eyes. Their light yellow flesh belongs to the AB cooking type, what is sometimes being interpreted as all-purpose salad potato. This type remains firm and moist after boiling, what makes it perfect for salads, soups, and casseroles. The Denar variety is resistant to potato eelworm and some viruses.

The Denar potato is a vegetable with low cultivation requirements. It does not need intensive fertilization. The advantage of the presented variety lies in a well-developed root system, which allows the plant to survive the stress associated with changing weather conditions during the growing season. Potatoes yield best in sunny, open, quickly warming places. Light and very light, airy, nutrient-rich, and adequately moist soil suits this vegetable best. Slightly acidic soil reaction contributes to higher yield. This vegetable is quite sensitive to low temperatures, plant starting mid-April, when the soil temperature reaches 6 to 8⁰C.
