The Sochi Star-of-Behtlehem (Ornithogalum ponticum Sochi) is a unique, rare, beautiful bulb plant. The erect, delightfully shaped, intricate inflorescences of this plant appear in the garden at the end of spring. Flowers that take on a pure white, cool colour and harmonizing bright green leaves and stems form a subtle form that is the main advantage of the plant. Ears of Sochi milk star flowers add extraordinary brightness and freshness to a garden. Charming star-shaped flowers with golden centres develop gradually from the bottom to the top of the ear, creating delightful, loose clusters that decorate borders and flower beds for up to several weeks. Star-of-Bethlehem's foliage is as delicate as the flowers. Tufts of narrow grassy leaves begin to disappear just before the flowers develop, so it is worth combining this species with lower growing plants that will cover its lower parts. Graceful Star-of-Behtlehem flowers can decorate gardens and interiors alike. Durability of cut flowers of the Sochi variety is impressive - plants remain in good condition in a vase for more than two weeks.

Plant Star of Bethlehem bulbs at a sunny and sheltered position. They develop best in a fertile soil that does not waterlog and has a neutral reaction. The about sixty, seventy centimetres (twenty-four, twenty-eight inches) tall, subtle plants can grow in the garden and in large pots. Magnificent flower clusters of the Sochi variety look best in larger groups, that perfectly imitate a natural meadow.

One package contains one bulb of the Sochi star of Bethlehem. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the product label.
