Voodoo lily (Amorphophallus bulbifer), also called devil's tongue, is a unique plant and one of the prettiest voodoo lilies. Presented plant develops a thick, tall stem that ends with a cluster of flowers in form of a cob that holds densely packed, tiny, creamy-white flowers that excrete a distinct, not-so-pleasant aroma. The spathe that surrounds the flower cob is the main ornament of the plant. It is smooth, large, and has a charming light pink colour. During the offseason, voodoo lily produces a large, palmate, dark green leaf that can also be treated as a bizarre decoration.
Large bulbs of this unique perennial should be planted in large pots or on a showcase, warm, and sheltered spot in the garden late in spring. Plants of the presented species like heat and humidity. They also need access to sunlight. A humous soil with high water capacity that is rich in nutrients needed by the large flowers to develop, proves to be best for this exotic plant. Dig out the bulbs early in autumn, before the first frost, and store them in dry room in temperatures between10 and 15°C.
One package contains 10 bulbs of the voodoo lily, sized at least 18 centimetres in circumference. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
