Wax Begonia is an annual plant with multi-coloured flowers and ovate serrated green leaves. In its natural environment, it takes the shape of a small shrub that grows up to 50 centimetres in height; when cultivated, it grows much smaller than in its natural environment. Wax Begonia flowers from June to October. This variety is a wonderful solution for flower beds and balconies.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover in 15x20cm spacings from January to February; do not cover the seeds with soil. Plant out into a permanent position in May. The plants require pricking out twice and flower from June to October. This begonia variety grows best in sunny or semi-shaded positions in fertile acidic soils.
