The melliferous honey clover (Melilotus albus), available here in 100 gram packages is a very resistant and productive biennial plant, recommended for cultivation on meadows and fields used as nectar flow. Contrary to the yellow melilot, the offered species succeeds very well in dry and meagre soils. The plant grows 150 cm high and has an erect, branched habit. Each shoot carries several loose clusters of flowers that are about 10 cm long. White, small, numerous butterfly-shaped flowers provide bees with large amounts of nectar and pollen. The vigorous white-flowered honey clover needs sunlight and an acid-free, permeable soil in order to bloom vigorously. It is very drought-resistant and not afraid of severe frost in winter. The honey yield from one hectare of this plant culture is estimated for 300 to 700 kg.

Sow the white melilot seeds in spring. The flowering takes place in summer the following year, from June to August. The offered species blooms reliably even in sandy and gravely soils at sites where the most valuable honey plants would not survive.

Each package contains 100 grams of the honey clover seeds. The growing instructions and the sow-by date were included in the product information.
