The Markus Kentucky bluegrass is a perennial grass that develops loose, low tufts of leaves. It is distinguished by strong tillering, thanks to which the sod it creates is very dense and strong. Presented species develops many short vegetative shoots and only few flowering shoots. Kentucky bluegrass develops slowly after sowing and reveals its full potential in the third year of cultivation. It develops best on well-drained soils which are rich in phosphorus and nitrogen. Due to its highe water requirements, it tolerates both periodically excessively wet and temporarily dry sites. Kentucky bluegrass is a grass resistant to lodging and trampling. The species is used on pastures and home lawns, especially those exposed to quite intensive exploitation. It is also sown on sports fields, recreation and park areas. The Markus variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, good winter hardiness and early spring greening.
Each package contains 5 kilograms of the lawn Kentucky bluegrass Markus. The sow-by date and the batch number were printed on the bag.
