All-year leaf chicory 'A Grumolo Bionda' is our exceptional proposal for vegetable beds in home gardens and on allotments. The plant offered in our store is easy to care for, exceptionally productive and supplies juicy, fleshy leaves with a slightly bitter, yet very pleasant taste. In contrary to the other popular varieties, chicory 'A Grumolo Bionda' does not require bleaching, nor forcing, so we recommend it to gardeners less experienced in cultivation of the demanding vegetables. Harvested and eaten may be recently developed small rosettes of green leaves. These greens enhance the taste of every salad, sandwich and casserole. Chicory leaves are a rich source of vitamins (among others, A, B1, B2, B9, C and E), minerals (iron, calcium, potassium and zinc) and lactucopicrin (intybin), a useful compound that improves metabolism.

This presented variety is recommended for cultivation on terraces, in balcony boxes, pots and outdoors, on borders, as it may be grown successfully from hand sow. Taking care of chicory is easy thanks to its resistance to low temperatures. These plants need a fertile, humous, weeded soil with a neutral reaction.
