Potassium metabisulfite is a chemical compound that is commonly used in food industry. At home it is also a great preservative for alcohol beverages, juice, puree and other preserves.

It is simply indispensable for stabilizing young wine that you intend to turn into a lighter semisweet or semidry wine. The potassium metabisulfite preserves the ready wine and leads to microbiological stabilization. It also improves clarity and colour of the wine. Used in higher concentration it will effectively disinfect your winemaking equipment. It cleans and disinfects carboys, bottles, tubes and other equipment, whose proper conservation and maintenance is crucial for the quality of the prepared beverage.

A detailed dosing guide and the instructions of use were printed on the label. Please do comply with the dosing recommended by the manufacturer. Otherwise your wine may acquire an unpleasant fragrance and taste and the fermentation will cease during stabilizing of the must.
