Potassium metabisulfite - for stabilizing must and wine - 10 g is a preparation that can be used in a variety of ways in production of home-made alcoholic drinks. We recommend to use it during must fermentation to eliminate the natural, "wild" yeast and bacteria, as well as for stabilizing the ready wine. In the second case the potassium metabisulfite stops the fermentation process and prevents the wine from the repeated, second fermentation that could happen during bottling wine. This chemical compound also significantly enhances the colour and clarity of the wine. Used in larger quantity the potassium metabisulfite is also an effective cleaning and disinfecting agent for carboys, demijohns, bottles and other wine-making containers and accessories. Maintaining high, stable hygiene level belongs to the key factors in the successful wine-making.
