Sweet narrowleaf lupin belongs, together with the fodder pea, to the most commonly grown legumes. Rich yield and nutrient content together with high resistance to diseases belong to the most important advantages of the presented variety. Its plants grow medium tall and develop blue flowers. The grey seeds of the standard size are encapsulated in non-shattering pods. Narrowleaf lupin should sown onto medium compact soils and into rye crop rotation. It is sensitive to weed infestation and might require postemergence harrowing. The plant offered here is grown for seeds, green fodder and green manure. It is a great stubble crop and significantly increases yield of cereals grown after it. Similar to all Fabaceae it lives in symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing root bacteria that accumulate nitrogen from the air. The soil enriched with green lupin manure will be richer in organic matter and nutrients. The seeds prove to be excellent fodder for almost all farm animals.
