Tomato "Alka" (Lycopersicn esculentum) - SEED TAPE - is a compact, determinate variety that fits into smaller gardens. This dwarf plant with slender stems grows rather quickly and broadly. This valuable cultivar belongs to parthenocarpic varieties, what enables it to develop fruit even in cooler and rainy water. It also makes "Alka" very productive. This variety produces quite large, regularly shaped, round or slightly oval fruit weighing 80 g on average. They ripen early and are great for direct consumption and preserves.

"Alka" tomato variety may be sown directly to the ground, so you do not need to produce seedlings under covers before. Thanks to that fact you may use seed tapes in cultivation. This method significantly facilitates and speeds up the process. You only need to place tapes in soil, 0.5 cm deep, in rows 60 cm apart, cover with a layer of soil and water abundantly. Seeds have been placed on the stripes in the way that provides them with best conditions and spacing needed for the plants to develop. Mid-April and beginning of May is the best time to start the culture. Tomatoes yield excellent crops on sunny sites, planted in fertile, moist, permeable soil rich in humus. Each package contains 6 m of seed tape with dwarf early "Alka" tomato seeds. The package information contains growing instructions and the sow-by date.
