White mustard "Bardena" (Sinapis alba) belongs to oil seed plants, even though its seeds are most commonly used as spice, in condiments and in pharmaceutical industry. This species is also grown as catch crop for green fodder and green manure. The "Bardena" is a medium early variety that stands out with high bio-mass yield. The tall growing plants with densely leaved and branched shoots display excellent vigour at the early growth stage. They bloom in summer and at the beginning of autumn. The blooms are extremely useful to bees. The presented variety has positive impact on the phytosanitary conditions of the soil and significantly reduces the nematode population, including eelworms (cyst nematodes).

White mustard grows best on fertile, moderately moist soils that are rich in lime. It is recommended as an aftercrop for cereals and for crop rotation with beets and potatoes. These plants tolerate small frost and short-term drought well. They belong to long-day plants and are therefore perfectly suited for delayed seeding, even mid-August, for green fodder or green manure. It is recommended, though, to sow as early as possible when growing this plant for seeds. Seeding rate for the main crop is 10-15 kg/ha, and even 20-25 kg/ha when sowing for aftercrop.

Each package contains 0.5 kg of the "Bardena" white mustard seeds. The sow-by date can be found in the package information.
