The yellow lupin (Lupinus luteus L.) is the most important industrial plant among all legumes. Seeds of this species are a valued fodder for farm animals. It contains the highest protein amount among all registered varieties, what, combined with the low content of antinutrients, ensures that you receive excellent animal food. The "Amber" lupin is an indeterminate variety intended both for growing for seeds, green fodder and green manure in crop rotation. Its low soil and water requirements also belong to the advantages of this plant. It would only require higher water supplies during the start of blooming and fruit development. The lupin development cycle starts at a few degrees Celsius over the freezing point already and periodical frosts do this species no harm. This early variety will not be impressed by delayed sowing date, either. Cereals are the best fore crop for the yellow lupin.
