The Cogoleto lily (Lilium) is a unique variety that develops speckled charmingly pastel pink-purple colour. This vigorous hybrid variety originates from Asiatic and long-flowered lilies. Its blooming period falls on July and August. Thanks to its rather moderate height, 60 to 80 cm, finding the right company for it is quite easy. The large, cup shaped, crimson-dotted flowers look particularly well in compositions with Asiatic lilies and at the background of the erect tree lilies (e.g. Atari, Beijing Moon, Miss Feya or Mister Pistache). The variety presented here is also recommended to be grown for cut flowers. Its unusual colour and the pattern on the petals will make it the main ornament of bouquets for all occasions.

The Cogoleto lily is very easy to cultivate, undemanding in regard to the soil type and entirely frost resistant. Its bulbs should be planted in spring and autumn on sunny or partially shady sites. You will achieve the best results by planting 3 to 5 bulbs per hole.
