The ready-to-harvest cucumbers are bright green, 15 to 20 cm long and take on a regular, cylindrical shape. They are firm, juicy and delightfully tender in taste. Since they do not have warts, so typical for the standard field varieties, you may slice them and use unpeeled in sandwiches and salads. The "Vert Long Maraicher" cucumber is ideal for direct, raw consumption and young, not fully developed fruit may also be preserved thanks to the crunchy, slightly sweet, bitter-free flesh.

The variety offered here in our store should be grown from seedlings or from direct sow. These plants develop a crawling habit and may also climb upon supports. A wind-sheltered, sunny site provides optimal conditions for its growth. The soil needs to be moist, medium compact and rich in humus.
