A synthetic demijohn stopper that fits into carboy necks 29-33 mm wide is an absolutely necessary accessory for production of wine at home. Proper sealing of a carboy ensures trouble free fermentation of the noble beverage.

The synthetic stopper offered here has been made of flexible PVC material. It has an opening in the middle that enables you to mount an airlock. Our product has been certified for food contact.

The stopper / bung needs to be washed thoroughly before the first use. Wash it in warm water with a dab of a cleaning liquid. This measure is aimed at removing the silicone layer - a remainder from the production process. This slippery layer may cause the bung to pop out during the fermentation.
