Champak is a perennial plant that flowers for the first time after several years of cultivation. The fragrance is used by the most expensive perfumes in the world. It is definitely worth waiting for that moment though, as Champak produces relatively large, orange flowers that last for several months. Additionally, the flowers have an incredibly pleasant fragrance that can be noticed several metres away from the plant itself. What is surprising is that the oils of Champak are used to produce some of the most expensive perfumes in the world.

Growing: the seeds can be sown all-year-round. The plants are ready to be harvested from March to June. This variety flowers after 6 to 7 years.
