Fresh Leaves - Family Selection - for cultivation in boxes is a mixture of instantly germinating seeds of productive and delicious leaf vegetables. It consists of seeds of the best, fastest growing varieties of green and red lettuce, lamb's lettuce, arugula and endive. The mix offered in our store can be sown in a balcony box or on a bed in front of the house. The abundant emergence takes place in no time and after 2-3 weeks you will be able to cut the first young leaves. The exceptionally tender, soft, crunchy and mild-tasting leaves of delicious lettuce varieties, arugula, lamb's lettuce and endives constitute a much sought-after addition to sandwiches, salads and warm dishes. These easy and quick to grow young plants supply you with the recommended daily dose of vitamins, minerals and fibre. They are rich in provitamin A, vitamin C, B vitamins and the most important macro- and microelements in easily digestible forms (including magnesium, calcium, iron or potassium).

Seeds of the Fresh Leaves Family Selection can be sown onto beds all spring long. You can also grow them at home, in a box, all year round. In order for the crop to be abundant, try to find a bright, well-lit position and a permeable soil with high water capacity. A drainage layer at the bottom of the container is a must. The effort while growing the fresh leaves is kept to a minimum. In the period of emergence, the substrate should be sprinkled daily with water. The watering during later stages of growth will only be needed when the upper surface of the soil turns dry. You can harvest the delicious and healthy, colourful leaves several times, because the cut leaves grow back quickly and abundantly.
