The Golden Cycle daffodil is an endearing daffodil variety which presents its uniformly bright yellow, wonderfully scented flowers from March on. Offered variety belongs to cyclamineus daffodils that have a long, cylindrical cup and petals angled to the stem. Flowers of the Golden Cycle variety are perfectly visible from a distance on the background of erect, dark green, pointed, grassy leaves. When provided with appropriate conditions, they grow between twenty and forty centimetres (eight to sixteen inches) in height, and the width of a single tuft does not exceed fifteen centimetres (six inches). Daffodils belong to most popular spring flowers. You can grow them with equally good results on a flower bed and in a pot. They look phenomenal in groups, e.g. under tall trees or in city squares. Golden Cycle can also be cut into bouquets, as the variety is characterized by excellent flower durability.

A sunny, sheltered area is recommended for daffodil planting. Plant bulbs in autumn in loose, nutrient-rich soil, where they would quickly take root. Daffodils do not tolerate heavy and clay soil. In such a case, mix the soil with sand and mature compost, which will fertilize the site at the same time. Watering is crucial particularly in spring, as adequate humidity promotes long and generous flowering. Apply a complex fertilizer right after the flowering period to strengthen the bulbs, so they can grow at the same site for several years.
