The "Amarantia" Hippeastrum, amaryllis is an absolutely charming variety. It dazzles with double flowers that take on a saturated deep red colour. Flowers appear on the stems circa six to eight weeks after planting of the bulbs. They develop gradually, hence the plants stay decorative for a long time. Amaryllis plants should be grown in pots where they enchant as interior decoration. You can also cut them and put into vases where they stay fresh and great-looking for a long time.

Plant hippeastrum bulbs in light and permeable soil. Make sure that one third of the bulb remains over the surface of the soil. The pot does not have to be too big - it only has to be a bit larger than the bulb. Grow amaryllis indoors in sunny or partially shady rooms. Water the plants regularly and feed them with a multicomponent fertilizer. The plants should enter the dormancy stage after the flowers have wilted - reduce watering after that. As soon as the leaves would have wilted, cut them and place the pot in a dry, ventilated, and cool place. You can also take bulbs out from the pots and store them in dry peat. The dormancy stage should last from two to three months.

Each package contains 1 bulb of the "Amarantia" hippeastrum, amaryllis sized 24 to 26 centimetres in circumference. The most important plant growing instructions were included in the product description on the package.
