Ivy Geranium produces 50 to 60 centimetre-long shoots with large, multi-coloured flowers that flower richly from May to October. Ivy Geranium looks particularly beautiful when grown in balcony planters or containers; this charming variety may sometimes take a form of a shrub.
Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes or pots from January to February; cover the seeds with 0.5 centimetres worth of soil. To obtain even germination, keep the seeds at 20-25°C. When the seedlings have developed 1 to 2 leaves, plant them out into pots (8 to 10 centimetres in diameter). Plant out into containers in May. This variety requires fertile moist soils in sunny positions. Make sure to fertilise the plants on a regular basis.
