The Lancaster daffodil (Narcissus) belongs to the group of small-cupped varieties. It should not discourage seekers of unique, extravagant plants: this seemingly classic, white and yellow variety makes a green eye to demanding gardeners. Its subtle cup has a green tinted centre, which gives flowers additional depth. The extraordinary Lancaster daffodil grows up to forty-five centimetres (eighteen inches) in height, and you can admire its harmoniously formed flowers with petals as white as the first snow at the turn of April and May. The variety available here in our store can play any part the garden director entrusts it with. It can decorate flower beds, path edges, empty spots under fences and walls, or under leafy trees. It provides great material for bouquets.
A medium fertile and moderately moist garden soil with a slightly acidic to neutral reaction is the best for growing daffodils. Make sure that the place is sunny or semi-shaded. The right time for planting bulbs is autumn. Plant them in rows every twenty centimetres and in the same spacings. Due to their slender form, daffodils look most beautiful in larger single and multi-variety groups. Varieties available in our store, such as the related Actaea, Altruist, Pueblo, or Sinopel tulips, would look graceful with the Lancaster daffodil offered here. Double-flowered daffodils, tulips, crown imperials, hyacinths, puschkinia, and reticulated irises would also look graceful with it.
Package contains 250 bulbs of the Lancaster daffodil, sized twelve to fourteen centimetres (five to six inches) in circumference. Essential growing instructions can be found on the package.
