Large-Spike Bristlegrass is an annual grass, which grows 60 to 80 centimetres in height, and produces upright stems. The stems grow hairy flowers at their tops; the flowers grow up to 12 centimetres in length and 2 to 3 centimeres in width. Large-Spike Bristlegrass is recommended to be grown in garden compositions, and, once cut, it looks beautiful in dried flower arrangements.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil from April to May. After the seeds have germinated, thin them. The grass loves sunny positions and grows best in medium fertile permeable soils. This variety flowers from July to September.
