Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) variety mix is a special selection of different lettuce cultivars that differ in leaf colour, from pale green, through dark green to scarlet. Lettuce is a valuable component of your daily diet. It contains large amounts of vitamins C and E, B vitamins and folic acid. It supplies our body with iron, kalium, magnesium and manganese. You may use these colourful leaves in delicious fresh salads, sandwiches and many other dishes.

Seeds available in our garden store have been covered with a special coating. This ensures optimal conditions in the germination phase and protects seeds from diseases caused by pathogens lingering in the soil. Lettuce seeds should be sown in early spring in a warm interior. Sowing onto a seed bed is possible only end April / beginning of May. Seedlings are transferred to the permanent site end of spring in 35 - 40 cm spacings. Iceberg lettuce requires a fertile soil that is rich in humus and abundant water supplies in order to develop properly.
