Maiden Grass, is an annual grass that grows 1.5 to 2 metres in height. This plant features ornamental narrow foliage and umbellate inflorescences, thanks to which this variety stands out from other members of the grass family. Maiden Grass, which flowers from mid-August to late October, is highly recommended to be used as a decoration in flower beds, as a cut flower, or in flower arrangements.

Growing: grow the plants in moist fertile soils in sunny or semi-shaded positions. This plants is resistant to low temperatures, but if the temperature falls very low, make sure that the young plants are sufficiently protected from excessive frost. Grow the plants in permeable soils and water on a regular basis to keep the soil moist; fertilise moderately.
