The impressive Monte Orange tulip brings a pleasant, warm colour to garden compositions. Lovely, peony-shaped, salmon-pink flowers with yellow centres will stun you at first sight. Fragrant, lush Monte Orange tulips delight already as buds that resemble golden balls. After unfolding, flowers gain a satin shine that you can admire in the rays of spring sun. The multi-layered Monte Orange tulip flowers look like wide cups and reach a diameter between ten and fifteen centimetres (four to six inches). At the peak of the flowering period in April and May, the flowers become so large that plants might require staking. Cheerfully coloured, moderately tall (thirty-five to forty-five centimetres / fourteen to eighteen inches) tulips belong to flower bed evergreens that will also work well in container cultivation.
