The plains coreopsis is an annual plant with a compact appearance that produces plenty of large flowers that sit atop thin stalks. The plants branch broadly. Their foliage that consists of tender, evergreen blades wonderfully underscores the subtle charm of the honey-yellow blooms. The graceful tufts of the cheerful garden tickseed, as this plant is also called, grow 15 to 30 cm. The single yellow flowers magnificently adorn edgings, lower flower beds and colourful lawns. They look great in rock gardens and alongside paths. The plains coreopsis can also be used as cut flower, as it retains its ornamental value in vases for quite a long time.

Seeds of the golden tickseeds are sown in March and April in greenhouses and directly onto beds in April and May. This plant requires a moderately fertile, light soil and a sunny site. Transfer the seedlings to the target situation in May, keeping them 20 x 30 cm apart. The flowering period lasts from June to end of September. The coreopsis needs to be watered during the extended drought periods.

One package contains 1 gram of seeds. The basic plant info, growing instructions and the sow-by date were printed on the back side of the package.
