Red Drummond’s phlox (Phlox drummondii) is an interesting alternative to the tall garden, or fall, phloxes. This low growing, yet abundantly blooming annual plant grows 30 - 40 cm tall in contrary to its erect relatives. Therefore it harmonises with less impressive flowering plants and fits even into smallest gardens. It displays an erect, compact habit. Its tiny, bright red blooms form large, dense umbels. Red Drummond’s phlox grows equally well from seedlings and direct sow to the ground later in spring.

The species offered here blooms long and abundantly from June to October. You may plant it in every moderately compact, moist soil that is rich in humus. It looks great in cheerful arrangements of red and orange marigolds, touch-me-nots, chrysanthemums and lobelias.

One package contains 1 g of red Drummond’s phlox seeds. The sow-by date and growing instructions have been printed on the back side of the package.
