Royal Poinciana is one of the more beautiful and unique plants we can come across at a garden centre. It takes the shape of a tree that in its natural environment grows up to 10 metres in height. During its flowering period, the plant gets covered with vivid red flowers that grow up to 15 centimetres in width. In temperate climates, harsh winters can hamper its growth, therefore Royal Poinciana is recommended to be grown as a potted plant and moved outside onto balconies or terraces when it gets warmer.
Growing: the seeds can be sown all-year-round. The plants flowers from May to June. Prior to sowing, clip the seedling covers and wipe them with a sand paper. Then, soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24 hours.
