The 'Aveyron' double tulips bear wavy and fluffy flowers that take on a deep pink colour with slightly lighter edges. Their outer petals are adorned with green stripes that only underscore the saturated colouring. The rich, multi-layer flowers strikingly resemble peonies. Not only the appearance of the flowers of this variety is worth your attention. This one of the few tulip varieties that are scented. The wonderfully soft and shiny flowers appear on the stiff erect stems in April and May.
The pink flowers of the presented variety wonderfully complement other bulb flowering plants, the lower growing carpet bedding flowers and plantings alongside building walls. This flower species can also be successfully grown in planters. This cultivation method allows you to create unique spring compositions. The 'Aveyron' variety that we present here is an excellent cut flower, valued by florists worldwide. It is used in bouquets and compositions in bowls.
Tulips belong to bulbous flowering plants that are easy to grow. They are rather undemanding. Plant their bulbs in autumn on a sunny situation or in partial shade. Tulips prefer permeable fertile properly cultivated soils.
