The Vaya Con Dios tulip surprises with its unusual beauty. This unique variety combines all the best features of the double and fringed tulip divisions. Its large, peony-shaped flowers have denticulate petal edges what gives them a slightly feisty look. The pastel, changing colours of this tulip that change from creamy yellow to shades of pink and apricot will also catch your attention. The magnificent Vaya Con Dios tulip will not let boredom enter your garden. This 40 to 50 cm tall variety blooms at the end of April and in the first half of May, when the flower beds are usually filled with the single Darwin hybrid and Triumph tulips. You can introduce it into the classic arrangements or combine it with the more extravagant compositions with the colourful ice-cream and parrot tulips.

Bulbs of the Vaya Con Dios tulip are planted in autumn, preferably in any fertile, cultivated and permeable soil. Sunny sites suit this tulip best, the more light it receives, the larger and more vividly coloured are the flowers. The perennial offered here in our store is vigorous and easy to grow. It is perfectly suited for borders and flower beds, it can also adorn a path edge or a southern house wall. In order to accentuate the warm pastel colouring of this variety we recommend to plant it together with the black Fringed Black Crispa tulip.
