The perennial Walter Funcke common yarrow can become an excellent colour accent in your garden with its magnificent red flowers. The compact flower umbels sit on soft pubescent stems that also shoot feathery leaves and appear already at the beginning of summer to stay until autumn. As the flowers mature, their colour turns more orange. The offered plant is unproblematic in growing and undemanding. It is resistant to drought and infestation with pests. Common yarrow is a garden treasure. Insects, including butterflies, bees, and bumblebees, eagerly visit its flowers. Slender, straight stems predestine yarrow to be included in fresh and dried bouquets. We advise to plant it on borders, flower meadows, and in natural arrangements. We consider it a good rock garden plant. You can also cover sunny, dry spots with it.
Presented yarrow variety, similar to its relatives, has no requirements regarding the soil. A ground that does not waterlog and is not acidic are the prerequisites for a successful cultivation. Apart from that it is an almost maintenance-free plant. We recommend cutting the umbels after the flowering period. It should stimulate plants to produce buds again.
Indicated price is valid for ten rhizomes of the Walter Funcke common yarrow. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
