The pink "Luxuriant" western bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa) is an exceptional perennial that originates from Asia and delights with its foliage and flowers. It forms a broad, up to 60-cm tall tuft. Its erect stems are hardly visible behind a curtain of large, openwork, odd pinnate leaves. Unique inflorescences tower above the green bush. They consist of rows of hanging flowers in shape of bulging Valentine's day hearts located on the arched stalks. They adorn the plant quite early, at the end of May and at the beginning of June. The "Luxuriant" western bleeding heart blooms take on a bright pink colour and have decoratively, outwardly bent petals with white tips.

The perennial offered in our garden store feels best on partially shady and sunny sites, although it needs to be watered intensively at the sites that are fully exposed to sunlight. The soil needs to be permeable and rich in humus, yet sufficiently moist, particularly during the flowering period. The "Luxuriant" western bleeding heart will introduce a hint of glamour exotics to the garden. The plant that we present here may become a perennial border gem or adorn your relaxation spot. The decoratively arched stalks may be cut and placed in vases, because they retain fresh, nice looks for a long time.

One package contains 1 large and healthy rhizome sized 2/3. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
