Alfalfa "Gea" (Medicago sativa) is a plant belonging to Fabacecae family. It is considered one of the most valuable fodder plants. It is used as green forage, silage or hay. It works equally well as green fertilizer. It enriches the soil with nitrogen, calcium, kalium and phosphorus, as well as improves its structure. Pollinating insects eagerly visit these melliferous plants.

Alfalfa is sensitive to lack of light and should be grown on warm and wind-sheltered sites. It requires humous soils rich in nutrients. This species does not tolerate acidic soils - they need to have alkaline reaction. It does not grow well neither on dry, nor on waterlogged, neither sandy nor too heavy soils. Before the sow you ought to carefully prepare the site - weed and loosen it thoroughly. Seeds of the "Gea" alfalfa sold in our store can be sown in the third decade of April, in June or mid-April.

One package contains 1 kg of "Gea" alfalfa seeds. Package information contains the sow-by date.
