The Antoinette tulip enchants gardeners with its colours and flowering prowess. It belongs to multiflowering tulip cultivars, what means that three to five flowers may (but do not have to) appear on one stem. Antoinette tulips display a stunning colour show including bright yellow overture with a creamy-white edges. As the flowers unfold, irregular raspberry pink spots appear, giving the variety a truly unique appearance. Presented variety is classified as late flowering. We highly recommend presenting Antoinette's uniqueness in groups on flower beds, borders, and lawn edges. This up to forty centimetres tall tulip makes an excellent pot plant and cut flower for home bouquets.
Tulip bulbs will develop well and grow vigorously everywhere, where the soil is permeable, fertile enough, and does not dry. Late September to late October is the optimal tulip planting time. Put bulbs ten to twelve centimetres deep and twelve to fifteen centimetres apart. Grow tulips in sunny situations, even if partial shade does not prevent this species from growing. We recommend monitoring soil humidity during germination and periods of the most intensive growth. The soil should be constantly slightly moist, yet not waterlogging, as excess moisture quickly causes rotting.
Package contains 250 bulbs of the Antoinette tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
