The Atlantic Armenian grape hyacinth develops compact groups that are adorned with clusters of blue flowers with a subtle lighter edge. The dense grapes of this charming flowering plant bloom long and abundantly starting already in March. The blue fields marvellously complement the perennial arrangements of plants such as peonies and the brightly yellow forsythias.
Tufts of juicy green, narrow basal leaves provide a wonderful frame for the originally shaped flowers. The plants that sprout from small bulbs covered with glossy scales reach circa 20 cm in height. This grape hyacinth variety is perfect for lower borders and rock gardens. This already classic bulbous perennial can be found on lawns and is often used as sodding plant. Planted in shallow containers, bowls and baskets, they will form a magnificent, eye-catching decoration of home entrances, balconies, terraces and interiors. They can be used as an exquisite table decoration during the occasions where every detail matters.
The easy to grow, incredibly looking grape hyacinths prefer sunny sites, yet tolerate partial shade of trees and shrubs. They will grow everywhere, provided the soil is permeable, fertile and slightly moist. Plant grape hyacinth bulbs circa 10 cm deep and approximately the same distance apart. You do not have to excavate them, as this species is completely frost resistant.
Each package contains 100 bulbs of the Atlantic Armenia grape hyacinth, sized 8/9 cm. The basic growing tips are printed on the package label.
