The "Mascara" Asiatic lily is a variety with dark, almost black flowers that give this plant a mysterious, yet charming look. The dark crimson-red flower calyxes are adorned with contrastingly coloured stamina. This lily grows between 60 and 90 cm tall. Flowers develop, gathered in small groups, atop the stiff stem, covered with elongated leaves. The colour game that the "Mascara" lily will stage is truly spectacular. Flowering period begins in June and extends into the following month. Lily of the variety offered here will definitely attract attention, constituting a distinct, dazzling border ornament. "Mascara" is considered one of the darkest coloured lily varieties available on the market. You may grow it at the contrasting background of a hedge or pale wall. Blooms of the cultivar offered here are recommended to be used in unique, contrastingly coloured bouquets. Blooms of the "Mascara" Asiatic lily are scentless.
