"Calgary Flames" tulip is a magnificent, low-growing variety that develops yellow-white flowers. Their white petals are adorned with a distinctive, flame-resembling, yellow pattern. Presented tulip belongs to early cultivars. It produces flowers in April and May. Plants grows up to 30 centimetres tall. Their stiff, short, and erect stems allow them to withstand harsh weather. They also allow this variety to retain its ornamental value for a long time. It is particularly recommended for front parts of the borders, edgings, and large planters.
Tulips grow best on sunny sites, yet they tolerate slight shade. They prefer fertile and rather light soil. Tulip bulbs do not like too moist soils, hence a drainage layer is often required. Autumn is the best time for planting tulip bulbs. Plant them ten to twelve centimetres deep and ten to twelve centimetres apart. Tulips show extreme winter hardiness.
One package contains 50 bulbs of the "Calgary Flames" tulip sized 12+ centimetres in circumference. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package label.
