The Centurion spring onion bulbs offers a great alternative to sowing. Planting those small bulbs significantly speeds up the harvest. We hereby offer an excellent onion variety that has been grown in Holland. Centurion onion is an all-purpose variety thanks to its rich taste and aroma. It is easy to grow and yields rich crops. This medium early variety is resistant to downy mildew, fusarial rot of root-crown, and changing weather. Bulbs produced by the Centurion variety are broadly oval and covered with golden-brown scales. They consist of white, pungent, delicious flesh. Presented variety can be consumed after the harvest or stored.

Onion is highly valued for its nutritional and health-supporting properties. This vegetable has antibacterial and antiviral properties. It stabilises digestion processes and is well-known for its contribution to immunity. Regular consumption of onions lowers blood, sugar, and cholesterol levels in blood.

Plant spring onions in April already. Choose a sunny and warm place for them. The soil should be sandy-loam, permeable, and moderately moist. Onions yields best in a medium compact, humous soil. Thorough cultivation of the site and fertilizing it with manure beforehand, e.g. in autumn the previous year, guarantees best results. Plant spring onions in rows twenty to thirty centimetres apart. Place bulbs every ten to fifteen centimetres in rows. The tip of the bulb should stick out of the soil and the area around it must be rammed. Regular weeding and watering of the onion rows is required during the cultivation.
