Chervil is an annual plant that grows 25 to 30 centimetres in height; it produces heavily crinkled little green leaves. The leaves have excellent seasoning qualities; fresh, they are very rich in vitamin C and often used for seasoning egg dishes. Chervil is also known for its medicinal qualities – among others, it stimulates appetite and features diuretic properties.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in 25-30cm spacings from April to September. Sow gradually to have a continuous access to fresh leaves, which appear as early as within a month after the seeds have been sown. The plants that have been sown in the autumn winter well in the soil and produce beautiful rosettes during the spring. This variety thrives in any type of soil.
