Chilean oxalis - Oxalis adenophylla - large pack! - 50 pcs.

The charming Chilean sorrel (Oxalis adenophylla) will find admirers not only among flower lovers, but also among the afficionados of ornamental foliage. This plant develops low, rounded tufts that consist of 10-15 cm long stalks covered densely with leaves. The bluish green leaves are palmate and resemble the architectural rosettes known from Gothic cathedrals. Fat, five-petal flowers that take on exceptionally attractive white-purple colouring appear on this green background. During the flowering period, in June and July, the Chilean wood sorrel looks like an intricately woven pillow adorned with pastel coloured flowers.

This presented perennial needs unhindered access to sunlight and a highly permeable soil, moderately rich in humus. Chilean oxalis, sometimes called silver shamrock, tolerates low temperatures well as a highland plant, but is not resistant to excessive humidity and should therefore be planted on sites where water does not log. It also thrives in pots. Plant it 5-10 cm deep, both on borders and in containers.
